Just for Fun: Japanese TV – Chimpanzee Rides Segway

Please Help Save Chimps

Squidoo, the site created by Seth Godin, is giving $2 per vote (up to $80,000 total) to charity. Visit this page, pick your charity, and you’re done. There’s no catch. You vote for a charity and that charity gets $2.

For more than just the obvious reason, AdMonkey is supporting Chimp Haven and we ask you to please give them your vote. Please ask your friends and colleagues to vote, too.

This is from their site:

Chimp Haven serves as The National Chimpanzee Sanctuary. We are an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide lifetime care for chimpanzees who have been retired from medical research, the entertainment industry or no longer wanted as pets. The organization was founded in 1995 by professionals from the primatological, pharmaceutical, animal protection, zoo and business communities.

Our goals to design, construct, and manage humane, cost effective social housing for government-owned and other unwanted chimpanzees have become a reality. Chimp Haven opened its doors to the first chimpanzees in April, 2005 and may also serve as an umbrella organization for several national sanctuaries in the future.

Chimp Haven’s national headquarters is located in 22 miles southwest of Shreveport, Louisiana, in the Eddie D. Jones Nature Park in Keithville.

Chimpanzees are highly intelligent, sentient creatures and they need your help.
