Incredible India’s Incredible Mistake

ad_123

I don’t know what to say about this ad for Incredible India. It’s so bad that I don’t know where to begin.

The ad contains a multitude of sins: an enigmatic headline, a bad photo that doesn’t say anything, awful design, and tiny copy full of hyperbole.

Somewhere, someone designed this ad thinking that it would increase tourism to India. That person is making a lot of money working at an ad agency somewhere and I’m writing this blog.

Who says life is fair?

  1. Perhaps you’re the one who’s just not getting it, which would explain why you’re writing a blog rather than being the globally respected creative director of Wieden + Kennedy Delhi.
    Just a thought….

  2. Sorry, “A Person,” it really doesn’t matter who created the ad — it still sucks. Trust me when I say that this ad doesn’t kindle a desire in me to visit India. What would be there waiting for me? A guy with a big mustache and even bigger ugly yellow teeth munching on some grass? No thanks, I’ll pass.

  3. There’s a saying I invented just now, it goes like this – “A good mustache covers a multitude of sins.”

    Good find. Terrible ad.
